LAST WORD

We text each other almost every night
Never a cross word and never a fight
We chat about all kinds of wonderful things
Taking selfies and the pleasure that brings

There is a little game we both like to play
Sending a last text before the end of the day
Out of the two of us I'm always the worst
For I am the one who goes to sleep first

I like our texts but I love seeing you more
You're so much better in person for sure
Until then we will play our fun little game
Trying to win for once is my ultimate aim
