Lasting Love

Lasting Love

Do you recall when our love began.
You a young girl, I a young man.
We didn’t know how far it would go.
As a winter storm, just how much snow.
It would carry us though a many a year.
Just a few births and many a tear.
Way  past a decade, a fifty or so.
How much longer will our love go.
Through gray hair, a wheel chair and
A few heir’s did pass.
Had no idea by the longest of stretch
Could not imagine, that our love would
Last.
But here we are still together after
All of these years.
Guess we found out how long our love
Would last ,I still love you dear.
