Latter-day Warriors

Latter-day Warriors

Warriors.......
Don't be confused
Between soldiers',
Who bared arms
Or weilded fine blades of fatality.
No.
Let's refer to
The men, and especially
High spirited scorning women
No matter what unorthodox situation,
For everything that is right
For all that is their's
Standing tall until nothings left
Fighting with every last breath~earning death.

May they never
Hold such a title
But warrior spirits exist
Hidden deep down inside them.
See'em today,
Hope gleams in the eye
A challenging grin uncompromised
Only way they're crossed
Is if one swings down from around their neck,
Always suited for battle
Pure hearts pulse inside of chest
Fear unknowing
Experienced pain not showing.

They charge
Heard by mighty roar
Today some still call them
Gun slingers,
Only one's capable of standing out
Bold, brave able minded troopers
Demand every bit of respect
Oh prideful few
Of a lifetime,
And those succumbed
To quickening death.

Hey D!! ~ I read this three times!!......... it's an interesting write to have decided to pursue..........I liked that you included (referenced) sword fighting & the valor of women......... because standing up for a cause in bravery comes in SO MANY forms and strange manifestations........ Like Mata Hari or an old indian in the desert with simple advice that shows up as bravery long after the actual fact or event........... the care you took with this piece ~ in word choices etc......... was impressive.......... you keep surprising with each new delivery you put forward for us to enjoy.......... I find myself looking forward to your stuff more and more my friend............. love to you brother!!.............T xo

Wow, I believe it's the first time anyway has told me they read my poem over and over. This idea came to me and I thought warriors don't have to be men of war, they can also be people who fight for what is right or what is their's that is trying to be taken away. Thought it would be something different and im a tough critic of myself so to hear your impressed and liked it thats good enough for me. Thanks T, ill ttyl.

Thats awesome you saw it that way brother im in no way discouraging what you read into it,

I wanted to do something for people of y hese times who fight for what is right against all the wrong they are warriors. Women who struggle with breast cancer or any other life threatening ailments are warriors same as men. Thanks Hardrock for reading and appreciating.
