Poem -

Lavender

Lavender

Beautifully intoxicating,
A mist of royalty rising from beneath -
A bitter sweetness,
Withdrawing and yearning in one breath.

A sudden scope of vibrancy stirs,
Paled by melting pastel singing of 'morrow,
As night's darkness shines,
Shimmering splendour on my sorrow.

Oh elegant, slender goddess!
Reaching unnerved yet swaying perilously;
Slipping in the wind -
My purple ecstasy smiles gracefully.
