"Lavender Dream"

"Lavender Dream"

Even in this day's dreariness, your glow comes through the fog
Reminding me, I should not falter, just trust in you like I trust in God
It's not that past relationships are a threat or even inconvenient
It's what I fear in life, that causes me to recall past bereavements
The losses we experience, are a truth we ALL must learn to bare
But when I think of you my love, fears are thoughts we share
The way you release your light in me, teaches me everything
It's as though you were a part of me where fears don't mean a thing
There's a discombobulation, in pieces on the floor
And as I reach for pieces, I know just what they're for
To put back my consideration, my image of your reflection
You're the coliseum of truth, in my ready intentions
I cannot decide if you're a lavender dream
Or a marble projection of alabaster wings
Like a Monet on a glassy wall
A perfectly preserved Renoir
Or a naked illusion
Causing confusion
Or confidence
Supreme....
