Learning To Cope

Learning To Cope

There seems little point in carrying on

Your love is what kept me strong

How can it end after all we've been through ?

You and I was all that I knew

Heartbreak is now my middle name

As I come to realize nothing will be the same

Life was what was planned with you

Now, I have no idea what I will do

The days seem to stretch ahead of me

As each second I miss you so desperately

Sometimes I wake to cry in the night

Knowing I must learn how to fight

To regain a sense of purpose to my existence

To discover I have to show more resilience

Trying to rebuild a life with some degree of hope

Where once more I will find I can cope.
