Learning to be a mom

Learning to be a mom

Your smile called me mom.

I still remember the day,
When you came in my arms...
I'd not known a world
So painful yet so comforting.
A term so innominate,
Yet so complete.
You came out of me,
Still I feel you created me.
Please forgive me my child,
For all my mistakes...
As with each triumph and regret,
I am growing to be better.
With each passing day,
I am winning over myself.
Bit by bit but steadily,
I am learning to be a mom.
