Poem -

Leaving

Leaving

On your forehead I gently plant a kiss

Everything about you I will surely miss

As I watch you board the train

I come to realize nothing will be the same

Memories encroach, of theĀ times we'veĀ spent

A sadness intrudes,Ā ofĀ how quickly they went

A loveĀ has been forged to bring joy to a heart

A love to give usĀ strength, while we're apart

Together again, we know we are meant toĀ be

TogetherĀ to find peaceĀ in each others company

We wave to each otherĀ and comeĀ to believe

All will beĀ better, even though you nowĀ leave.
