Poem -

Leaving

Leaving

On your forehead I gently plant a kiss

Everything about you I will surely miss

As I watch you board the train

I come to realize nothing will be the same

Memories encroach, of the times we've spent

A sadness intrudes, of how quickly they went

A love has been forged to bring joy to a heart

A love to give us strength, while we're apart

Together again, we know we are meant to be

Together to find peace in each others company

We wave to each other and come to believe

All will be better, even though you now leave.
