LEAVING FOOTPRINTS

Everyone leaves a footprint where they go
Think of the sand on a beach or freshly laid snow
Each footprint is different and so unique
Some give the game away in hide and seek

The most famous footprint was on the moon
Proved to be Neil Armstrong's signature tune
Mary Stevenson wrote Footprints in the sand
Was far too surreal for me to understand

How I wish I could leave my footprints now
On a field so lovely would I walk and plough
My footprints there for everyone to see
How happy and contended I would be

Cute. I like the way you integrated the references to popular culture without it falling into cliche.

I enjoyed this.
