Poem -

legally blind

legally blind

      by the traffic light
PPPppp
White cane on the bitumen
Somebody's arm through mine
And then we crossed the road
To the other side
You thought I was blind
You thought I was dumb
My money
In your pocket
Pick
The crooK
You thought I was blind
That I cannot see
....to cross the road
You had my pocket
You took my wallet
You took what was mine
You're the crook
 What did you find
      What did you take
  from my mind
        Birth
    Braille
        Fellover
The rail
High school
    Behind
        Left school
   Job for the blind
Money
    First time
       Felt good
Bought my first time...
One day I was walking
Cane
    Cross the road
You helped
     your hand
 In my pocket
      What did you find?
