Poem -

Legendary times

Silk road trades
From Asia and India through Afghanistan,
Spices and satin fabrics sold
While mathematics and philosophy grows,
In the heart of Greece through Archimedes as well as Plato,
Meanwhile in ancient Rome they build aqua ducts and build roads,
Dining on fine foods and wines
An empire marching under the Aquila sign,
While in Egypt, pyramids and sphinx are crafted by design
To please the God's and entomb Pharaohs,
Who look too be preserved for future times,
Legendary times, ancient races
Disappearing without traces,
Of the momentous achievements they discovered
Seemly never to be recovered.
