Legends Wrought In Gold
I must admit I'm sorry
But I kind of passed away
The old me had an accident
And died along the way
I cupped his sorry ashes
And I sat before I prayed
To mourn the me of yesterday
To praise the me today
I bloomed like morning glories
Giving way to epic stories
Not a soul or spirit living
Sees the depth my open quarries
And I walk amongst the greatest
Where our legacies be told
And plainly on our plaques be written
"Legends Wrought In Gold"
