Poem -

Lemon Hills

somewhere on the rippling grass
I sat with you as angels passed
and smiled at us and said hello

said take your time no need to go
and sky was like a deep pink dream
the trees alive with lilac sheen

and birds and pets and all things loved
sat there with us and made great fuss
and I...  I was so grateful love

to be with you in worlds above
and sometime later two men came
we knew them by their earthly name

as brawd and dad who come from earth
to find us in their death's rebirth
and all, we sat, in rippling grass

and hugged and drank a glass to past
then someone said one must return
and so I woke to lifes raw burn

and so I said farewell to thee
a son, a brawd, a dad, all three
who this four years have come to be

no longer on this earth with me
but still I am most grateful still
to now soul know of lemon hills

and you and they and what awaits
when I too pass right through death's gates
and so I raise a toast to thee

for dreams can be the truth you see
and comfort when the day is long
for now I know that none are gone

that one day when my maker says
I too shall leave these earthly ways
and this time I shall get to stay

you all are but     a breath away

M

Happy returns, M. This one with the rhythm not like your usual style, I guess the subject matter really moves the piece along.

Dear Marion, first of all, we missed you here. Great to have your amazing poetry again.
Out of darkness and into the light.
Even if for a moment, a dream or a comforting thought. By doing that, one’s soul is set free. You were with him! How heartwarming is to read this. How wonderful, Marion.
A huge hug from Bernadete
