LESSON LEARNED

This is the one I wrote at my writing group about the lesson learned that you would pass on to others.
LESSON LEARNED
As a teacher you would think this would be easy.
My while life has been spent imparting knowledge
But maybe passing on wisdom is something that escapes me.
The life I've led would say it's not necessarily my forte.
But through it all there is one lesson I would like to mention
And whether I would be saying this were I not a poet is a moot point
We all travel roads in our life when we arrive at a junction
And it's one way or the other but you have to make a choice.
So my advice based on my extensive years of experience
And it has served me well right from the start
Is that whenever you are faced with that perennial choice
It is better to ignore the head and always follow the heart.

Ah, the conflicting nature of heart and mind. Well spoken, Bernie.
I just have to agree with you. When we arrive at a junction
its all about choices. And we have to live with the consequences of our choices. Great reflections.
I was missing your writes, Bernie,
don’t stay away for too long. B
