Emotional expressions enter our mind
We are taught to be good mannerly, forgiving & kind

Tho we often find it difficult to follow this rule
Especially when we are wronged, people can be so cruel

Frivolous feelings so speedily changed
In a blink of an eye may be rearranged

There is no guidance, when someone has stabbed us with harm
How can one react without ill thoughts & be warm

We are merely human beings
Each with a personality so unique
Considerably challenging
To turn the other cheek

But as we mature
Duration passes us by
We turn more tolerable
Takes alot to bat an eye

Attitudes alter, opinions too
Life is far too short
To let yourself be blue

Let bygones be bygones
Wipe the slate clean
Rise above your bruises
Possess a smoke screen
