LET EVERY HEART AND EVERY HUMAN

The beautiful flowers have to wilt tonight

And pave a way for the new buds to sprout,

The homecoming birds settle in their nests

To adorn skies of another dawn, with delight.

But, the pitiable sight of a bone sucked beggar

The pathetic sight of untimely death of a dear;

The hearts of the starving lot after a day-long toil

Force them to face future with an uncertain goal.

The darkness which infiltrates through the sunset

The fiery instinct within, which peeps to gush out;

Prompt things to get astray, with uncertainty at hilt

Giving no scope to counter the recurring torment.

The moon and stars are duty-bound to enthrall,

Nature, but performs its task for human survival,

Unless the sun sets, tomorrow cannot dawn here

Yes, it dawns only to dispel every gloom and fear.

Alas! The day-to-day lives of the downtrodden

The pathetic state of orphaned and poverty ridden,

Stir my heart again and again with spells of emotion,

To do something that stirs every heart and every human.
