Let Me Not

Let me lie in green meadows, where the Heather is high and the sky is low.
Let me rest in the rich earth, let her surround me, hold me, keep me safe.
When violent world and worldy wonders act,
let me find peace in silent sound.
I have been as troubled storms with waves of worry and sorrow,
When my heart, like Spring, is ready to give and grow.
And Autumn wind's blow feelings with shallow roots to other meadows,
Let not cold winter, with his hate, freeze what is so young and alive.
I pray on all stars and skies and Gods,
Let me not miss one thing for fear of missing.
