Let There Be Light

Looking into the depths

of the timeless night sky.

Stars from far away

Perhaps as far away as forever

Did we all come from there?

Or was there one big bang.

An explosion of cosmic forces.

Travelling through

the infinite nothingness.

Colliding in the vacuum

of darkest space.

Creating all we see.

The sun and moon.

The planets and stars.

Just one initial bang

That created such magnificence.

Almost as though

Some powerful Godlike being.

Had commanded

“Let there be light”
