Let’s rekindle yesterday

Let’s rekindle yesterday

Life was so good after I met you
I smiled when you said that you felt that to
you filled up that hole within my heart
I thought what we had would never part

But look at us now loves went astray
Two souls lost in time on a rainy day
can we forget & lock our past ?
leave the bygones behind
when our love was blind

Coz a love like ours doesn’t happen overnight
We worked out our differences
We made them alright
Can we afford to let it slip away
I’m asking you now
Let’s rekindle yesterday

We can forget all of the pain
the day that we cried
Let it not be in vain
Throw caution to the wind
maybe time can heal again
& swallow up our pride
We won’t know till we’ve tried

Listen to my words
It’s just how I feel inside
When I tell you I love you
Please say you love me too
Don’t shatter my heart
I’m waiting for an answer
Let’s not be apart
I’ll be ready when you call
Let’s not leave it too late
regretting it all
