LETTER FROM DAD

My dear child.
As you leave for the distant shore,
my heart is empty, lonely, and cold.
But the time has come for you to fly
So spread your wings and aim high.

May you always walk in the sunshine,
With rays of hope and joy divine.
May your path be filled with light,
Guiding you through life's every plight.

May laughter dance upon your lips,
And sorrow swiftly slips away.
May love surround you like a cloak,
And peace be yours evermore.

May you find beauty in the world,
In every flower, tree, and bird.
May the rays of the sunlight shine through
so happiness and joy follow you.
