Letters from The Edge
There is a darkness in the room
it glows from my heart
All day my thoughts turn to you
I want to send you a letter
the way the moonlight
sends it messages in soft hues.
Or the sea with whitecaps
on distant waves
The keyboard clicks my words
the ones that drip
like golden honey
from my heart
they enter inside its electronic
conjuring and appear in your inbox.
It will appear at your command
on your screen like lifeblood
The blood that kept our friendship alive
since the days we wrote letters
with flourishing script.
Ink Blue as the veins around our hearts
as blue as the veins of our friendship
Now the thoughts flow between us
under the bridges
we did not build in life.
