Licking Razor Blades

Licking Razor Blades

Too much time spent licking razor blades
Hanging with the prehistoric beasts
Tearing rotten flesh
Foul...
Deep in the Everglades

Lazy in the sullen swamp
Forgetting the motion of the ocean
The magic of the moonlit beach
The rhythmic slapping of the cooling waves

Finally finding the right remedy
Previously using the wrong lubrication
Pouring parched dry Earth
Into rusted joints
Futile attempts at literate rebirth

Yes... too much time
Licking razor blades
Suckig the last ink
From the quill...

Crimson salt of a
Hedonistic lifestyle
Sedative & stimulant addiction
The danger has lost its thrill

Being Me

You use such vivid metaphors that really work. The first two lines really draw the reader in. Easily deserves 5 stars but I wish I could give it more x
