Lies

Lies

We are a civilisation built on

lies. Lies that we’ve forcefed generations

so successfully that without question

people lay down their lives for religion,

politics and wealth. God is dead and we

are our own hell. What? You think we’re really

free? Take a walk down the street and tell me

you don’t see it too. Rape, war, poverty.

If this world is so great go on, join them.

You lock yourself in a rose tint world and

pretend that reality is a dream

as you see fit to change it, but it seems

that even then you’d blind yourself and leave

those who’re already left behind to grieve.
