Life given twice

Life given twice

Death Rode in on a river red blazing heating paths from my feet to my head.

I wake to the screaming sound of mother as my body and heart start to seize.
Her ear to my chest listening for any life that's still left.
Nothing knocking back sorry mother its time to compress.
A kiss on the forehead follow s with a sad request, please don't go my son just rest.
A mother forced to give life a second time with love refusing to let a son die.

Thank you for not only reading but understanding. This was my overdose a few years back and every bit is true and accurate. I was completely aware while I was dying and I could hear everything I was putting my mother through. This was the signal most selfish act I've ever commited. I know death very well now with no fear of it . my only fear is ever putting someone that loves me through my death again . I found sobriety and writing through life and death. Again thank you
