Life gives you no choice

I learned a long time ago, life goes on, whether you like it or not.
It shakes you every day, wakes you up and says that's your lot.
You can try and refuse, be stubborn and recluse, but still the sun will always shine.
It makes no sense, no reference, no reason or no rhyme.
So get up and say hello, good day, I am going to be fine.
Cos good or bad, this is all we have, this one and only time.
Life is like a play, only making sense, right at the very end.
When the curtain falls and God calls, clarity will descend
All you can do is try your best, that is for sure
Because the one certainty, in eternity, there's definitely no encore.
