Life Lessons

I’m a senior now and i think to myself wow.
It’s like now i’m on top of the world.
Because not everyone thinks they can make it this far.
But some people just say they gotta go to the bar.
And relax it’s almost as if they.
Were in a cadillac hanging out.
With friends that didn’t mean much.
More than a best friend in their life.
But now they live the wildlife and have fun it takes me back.

To when i was moving through the motions.
It was almost like a potion. 
Had struck me and i couldn’t move. 
I was stuck on stage in drama class.
Frozen it was like. 
A dozen of people staring at me. 
And so bad i wanted to scream for help. 
But i couldn’t so i said welp.
I gotta do this alone. 
I groan to the fact that it was just me.

But as i grew i began to wonder 
Why i was becoming blew 
Blew to the fact i can’t do this alone
So i sit there and moan 
About the choices i made in life 
It was like a knife going into my soul 
It took a tole on my heart 
Almost as if i couldn’t breath
It was as if death was trying to hold me 
Back from the fact i need friends 
Best Friends to better myself.

But now it’s as if i’m unstoppable 
But i was still dull to the fact 
That being commitment is like 
A investment once you put it in there’s no going back
But i still never gave in to the fact 
They have more they had their life together
I didn’t let anyone put me down 
They were like clowns everything 
Was a joke to them 
So finally woke and realized it was all a dream

So now as i climb the ladder to success
It’s almost as if i’m playing chess
But right now i’m a pond
I have to pay my bond in order to break free
And soon i will move up in the ranks 
Like tanks and blow people out of the water 
To reach my true goal in life 
Because i don’t wanna be stuck in a hole 
Because then it would be as if nothing has changed 
So now i rearrange my life for the better 

Now as i stand proud to be a senior
Everything is loud like now 
I feel like i belong 
And nothing can go wrong 
To change the fact that success matters
It’s not all such a mess anymore 
So be the best you can be 
And invest in something in life 
To make your dream a reality
Because if you think we are all just one big team
