Life of a fostered child

Not knowing

Who your parents are

Or when you’ll next get to see them

Is one of the hardest things

You may ever feel

It limits the amount of things

You are able to do

As well as making your mind run with questions

About who your parents really are

What they look like now

And would they even recognise you

The only reference you have of them

Are pictures from when your were young

And the facts you have from your social worker

The only thing you know is that you have

Are the vague memories left in the back of your head

I was sent away

Because I don’t know why

But the only thing I know

Is the i miss you

Like you’ll never know…

I’m sorry if I was to much

Sorry if I was uncontrollable

But you were meant to love me...
