Poem -

LiFegUArdS

in my drowning
i sensed the air deep below
confused in directions
i'm quite sure i let go
easily, so easily
no questions or fear, and
in the mirages left
oh, how i yearned for you dear

to be there amongst
tombstones
in cool ripples of deep
where the gods might lounge
smiling
rocking fishes to sleep, and

in my drowning, in my mad
search for truth, as
the water stole last light, and
you appeared in all youth, as

you reached for my hand
led me back up to black, well
i understood then, i cannot
have you back, for

you never ever left
