Life's Battle

Life seems to have always been a battle of survival for me.

Climbing those hurdles that seem nearly impossible to overcome.

Battles that left my spirit completely drained.

Knowing that there is only one way through the battles.

Working hard if I want to even become an inch closer to winning.

Asking myself. "Is there any reason to keep trying?"

Searching through past memories of heartache and pain.

Trying to see is there might have been one certain thing I would have done differently.

Understanding that in the end I would have done exactly what I did then.

Others sit back judging me not trying to understand that the battles were mine and mine alone to fight.

So that in the end I have become the person I am today.

Wiser, patient, and understanding those that might like me.
