Let's have a drink to life's simple pleasures 
Blue sky and sunshine I like in equal measures
People being polite with a simple please 
Followed by thank you isn't a disease 

Freshly cut grass on a warm spring like day 
The innocence of children during their play
Simple things they say amuse a simple mind
Don't pay any extra for being courteous and kind

Air that we breathe is more precious than gold
Having food on our table is a joy to behold
Take in life for you are a long time dead 
Make room for simple pleasures is what I said
