Light.

Light.

Light.
Lee.

Light from the lamps casts your silhouette face,
Crackers snap-crack, rockets fly into space.
Most dogs cower, cattle moo as they go,
Chaos meets laughter at the firework show.
Light-up the night, pushback the gloom,
The light of your face lights up the room.
Mother’s in kitchens, rangoli’s in doorways,
Uncles and aunties chatter like always.
Music sways, mantras are meant,
Goodwill and blessings are easily spent.
