Poem -

Light From Dark

Flowers exchange roles with frost,

While t-shirts are replaced by sweatshirts.

Seasons revolve in an endless cycle;

Life changes as abruptly.

Trees wither and so do we,

Creatures disappear

As often as rain falls.

The sun sets

And the sky darkens.

But as your eyes close

And reopen once more...

Plants sprout and babies are born,

Foxes return from long journeys.

The sky opens.

The sun shines

On the faces of smiling people.

When one experiences darkness,

 They must always know

That the light is just around the corner.
