Poem -

Light of the Moon

oh how the full moon shines her light on me
neither warm nor cool is her loving grace
yet each night she willingly makes me free
only to lock me in some time and space

how I feel her strong pull upon my soul
and her mysteries scare and confuse all
without her light I know I am not whole
pushed to the edge where I fear I will fall

she is the knowing trickster of the night
beautiful and enchanting her lore
stealing away any hope of a fight
tempting your heart leaving you wanting more

oh how I am mesmerized by the moon
she appears and then she is gone too soon
