THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

The three wise men

wait expectantly

having seen happenings

of astral signs in the sky

fulfilling all augury

a great king is nigh

spurred by their insight

led by heavenly light

they meet and greet

sharing their astrology

aligning stars with prophecy

On camel back

the magi make their track

travelling from afar

with a large entourage

trekking to Jerusalem

to a town called Bethlehem

There within king Herod waits

to use the wise men as a bait

but as they sleep

angels warn

keep him

from the child thats born

The astral body shines

on high over humble abode

they alight unpack their load

for they have reached

climactic road

Inside laid in a manger

radiating love

Emannuel's power

is transferred

with blessings from above

Hail the new born king

Baltahasar presents gold

Gaspar brings frankincense

Melchoir offers myrrh

whilst the gathering throng

Angels men and beast

rejoice melodically in full song

A star is born in Bethlehem

Hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah

Hail the prophet king

Hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah

Hail Christ the messiah

Hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah
