Lighthouse

As the day goes on

it turns from dusk to dawn

I can see the many things

like that tall red and white lighthouse

over in the distance

as the cool breeze

brushes up against the tall grass

eyes start to wander

into the clear blue sky

with a big white moon

curiosity takes over when I wonder

as to why there is no flag on the flagpole

I decide to get closer to it

to only find the flag

lying on the ground

right next to the salty ocean

I can see the horizon

looking straight as ever

with those bumpy waves

getting closer and closer to me
