Like a Lark on the Rise
Maybe it is time now
we sail
our separate ways ..
With you
upon the wind my love
and me
beneath the waves ..
Yes maybe
it is time now, to say our
fond goodbyes ..
With me upon the down
my love,
and you, just like some
fabled lark
now free and firmly on the rise ..

Gosh Neville this is just stunningly sad my friend. You just pulled tears from my heartstrings here. Parting can be such sweet sorrow. For they are gone, yet deep down we know they now have their beautiful wings, yet we feel lesser beings for their absence. I felt that right here in these powerful moving words

sharing grief on a page does not make it any easier does it .. but I hope one day to maybe look back with the makings of a smile noticed only by strangers in the creases & lines at the corner of each eye & where only old tears now occasionally lie ..... thank you my very precious friend & more than most sincerely ... x
