Like Rose Petals Fall...

Like Rose Petals Fall...

As heads rolled down the blood stained oak table,
Where King's promises turned into drunken fables,
They cursed to the skies as the stars smiled with immortality,
Where the bosom of yesteryear, ripe at birth, sings in prosperity.

Dimmed light cascaded from dripping wax while unholy sinners sniggered,
Laughter from the mouths of savages, as liquid crimson from steel blades triggered,
Farewell dear paupers, rang throughout concrete walls,
How you stole from undressed, now war will be thy downfall.

Pearl glazed haunted stare, shall the feast be left for a black crow's glare?
The sound of them gathering, a toast blinded by nature while body lay bare,
The river of souls whispered in the dead of night, while costumes bled,
Death came to sleep in earth's bed and shimmered with silk red.

I asked the shadow adorned man in my nightmare,
"why is it so important to dream?"
The reply from a grey tissued face,
"My dear, it's the only way through to our reality"
Life is only an illusion,
Death is the beginning,
Awaken the consciousness of your mind,
Listen to your soul and create a new world.

Like rose petals fall one by one,
My sight,
My sound,
My touch,
My dream...
