Lions Eyes

Lions Eyes

minds fury
ravages in the silence
as whispers yearn to a scream
weeping bloodĀ
falling velvet tears
raining through this battlefieldĀ
obsession lingers
hope lays down with the roses
roaring with resilienceĀ
faith is sometimes futileĀ
claw beyond the safety of amoured walls
the fight in your mind
is all barb wireĀ
let out the wounded battle cry
thou demons shall fly
and there a warrior will rise
lions eyes
