Listening

Ears are needed 
To take in the message 
While feelings are weeded
And the brain massage 

Processing each word 
To understand their intent
Not just what you heard
And some new thought invent

Remembering is a good idea
To stay focus in the moment 
Otherwise it won't be clear
And foggy your discernment 

Pondering, is reasonable 
To be engaged in real time 
So the tongue can be reliable 
When I finish with mine

Responding is in order
To prove you heard
My message and not another 
This way ideas can be aired
