Listening to the Skylark

Listening to the Skylark

In the dew drops of the early morning dawn with the sweet Skylark as my company, at one with Mother nature wandering feeling fantastically free

To walk the paths of paradise in amongst the purple heather, something conspicuous lay on the grass I espy a blue Jay bird’s feather

High up on the heathland far away from the maddening crowd
Strolling in the shaded sunlight from the canvas of a cloud

I am in sheer ecstacy, my heaven up a height, listening to the Skylark sing me songs of melodious delight
