Little feathered friends

Little feathered friends

“Come back little birdy, I never meant to startle you..I mean you no harm as I watch what you do”..yet I realise my sheer size and enormity must seem like a threat, but I am only a human with a caring mindset..I gaze at your gaeity as you perch and peck on my birdhouse feeder not missing a speck

Oh how your presence fills me with glee, but I regret you won’t know what you mean to me..As I stock up every early morning with nuts and seeds and fill up the birdhouse with your vital needs.. I pray little feathered friends as they flitter and fly will look down on their travels from the sky so high..alighting in my garden in the light of the day, to fill up their tiny appetite before they flutter away.. I feel sorry for your nervousness as you tremble and twitch, if I dare move a muscle you fly like the flick of a switch

Alas little bluetit whilst I would never do you harm, I cannot let you in my house where it is cozy and warm.. but I guess that is why you are coated in feathers, so you can withstand the elements in all kinds of weathers..tho in darkness, just like me.. you little bird are snuggled cozily.. but somewhere in a hedge or  within the branches of a tree, with your tiny head tucked in your wings as tight as can be..eat up, be my guest..before you bid me goodbye, fill up your tiny chest then away you can fly

How wonderful are your words! I was able to see the birds as the fluttered and ate their breakfast you brought. I could see you standing in the garden making sure there were enough seeds.

The way you wrote the poem really stood out. You were able to keep the poem moving along pretty swiftly by using rhyme. Well done on this poem.

Excellent work: Grade A+

I live at a wildlife sanctuary, but I almost stopped feeding the smaller birds because there are a number of red shouldered hawks that live close by. Birds are a joy to watch and an even brighter joy when they stand still long enough to pose for the camera.

Good job, made me miss spring.
One more season to go.
