Poem -

LITTLE KITTY

The temper is upon me
It jumps on my lap like a screeching cat
I jump up and bat at it
Wave my arms about like a mad person
Stamp my feet like an irate child

Trying to dislodge it
But it digs it's claw into my flesh
And bites
I scream and wail at it
Bat my hands some more
Tear at my hair in frustration
But I'm not angry at anyone

Im angry at the cat that clings to me
And draws blood
I'm just trying to get rid of it
I don't have a temper

It's just the cat in my lap
Whose grip I can't shake.
