LITTLE LAMB

Spring appears reticent
This year
Dispatching reccesย of weak
rays
Then withdrawing
In fear

โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹The flower heads peek up
Then cower away
Hesitant to shine
In the frost
Of myย day

Sweet lambs
Fail to greet me
The ewes turn away, as if
Afraid my dark shadow
Should fall where they lay
