Little old soul

Treat me like I'm young,
The way it has to be,
Treat me like the other kids,
But I'm different, can't you see?
Speaking clearly,Â
Explaining slowly,Â
Why are you trying this hard for me?
This mind is scared of living in the wrong body,
The body that has been accepted,
This body is scared of being treated disrespectfully,
How old is my mind exactly?
Confusions lead to questions,
Why am I still writing letters by hand?Â
Why do I feel confortable in the forest?
Why do I want to be gone from this busy and messed up society?
Half of the answers has to be guesses,
Wherever I go, whenever I'm gone,
But always remember that;
''Giving yourself an older role,
But you're just as old as my soul.''

Hi Tuyet!  I have a niece who has an "old soul"...like you.  Wisdom doesn't always occupy the gray-headed.  Wisdom cries out in the street for anyone who would like to partake of it.  When you have wisdom in your heart then knowledge takes residence in your soul.
Excellent write! ...love the your drawings! Â val
Hey Val,Â
Thank you for your nice comments...and you're right! Honestly, I'm glad to be 'old souled,' although it's hard to find just one person who knows exactly who you really are, but that's why society includes different colors (people), just to make sure that we'll get to know all of those colors..I guess.Â
Have a good day,
Tuyet M.
