Little Prickly Hedgehog?

Little prickly hedgehog
It is time for you to wake
You can come out of hibernation
Winter is done for heaven’s sake

Late past October
I saw you scuttling passed my house
Tho you were obviously in a hurry
You were as quiet as a little mouse

I know where you are hiding
In your slumber fast asleep
There is a clump of loose leaves
In my garden shed in a heap

You are nestled amongst the lot of them
Keeping very snug as a bug
But now that spring has sprung
It is time to be undug

Open your sleepy eyes Mrs Hedgehog
Have a stretch & look around
You will soon feel it is warmer
The snow has thawed from the ground

Are you not getting hungry
It is months since you last ate
You need to get alot fatter
You are looking in a sorry state

I shall put a dish of mealworms
In my shed by the door
If you eat them all up
I can easily give you more
