LONE WARRIOR

Beneath the smoke hanging in the night, just outside of town, he waits
Laughing at the terrible burden of his destiny, laughing as a young man laughs
Laughing as an ignorant fighter laughs, who has never lost a battle, he smiles
A knowing smile, for he is bragging not laughing, he sits and anticipates the wait
For in his pulse and just beneath his ribs, beats the heart of the people
That have begged him in his childhoods nakedness, to take this path
And he embraces it, he tastes it, he knows that his time is come
The laughter is over and the battle has begun
He can no longer hold his tongue
He has become
The loner
The ghost, coming for the evil of the city
God's words rolling like thunder through his mind
And he can recall every line, from the booming voice in the sky;
"Take up thy mighty sword young man, smite down the evil intent
Entering , do as I would have you do, ("speak of thy Lord God") and when
The laughter begins again, your sword shall be my sword, and it shall be their end."
Just outside of town, a revolution begins, as a Lone Warrior of God
Begins to wind his way, through burning buildings and rotting flesh
"The Word" in one hand, his mighty sword, poised, in the other
He begins to sing a hymn, to let the evildoers know, he's more than just a man
He's hope, and faith, and death come to town, upon an optimistic wind
The times of satan worshipers, and all of their decadence and destruction
Is coming to an end, and it's not the sword he carries, but it's in the other hand
"The Word" has come a calling to men who'd let him in
"The Word" is like a virus, rising from decaying ash
"The Word" has brought a warrior
To carve out his new throne
And as the light changes
Night time into day
Somewhere in the distance
The heavens here him say
Thank thee oh Lord
I did not use my sword today
For I have found
"THE WAY"...........

Profitable thinking, heavenly voice with justification..cute, I like the following lines-
"Take up thy mighty sward young man, smite down
the evil intent
Entering, do as I would have you do, ("speak of thy
Lord God") and when
The laughter begins again, your sword shall be my
sword, and it shall be their end."
