Loneliness

Loneliness is like an old friend 
It visits my home 
It’s my friend 
It doesn’t answer me back 
Or talk too much
It doesn’t need reassurance
or a hug
It can be critical at times
It can also be harsh 
But it tells the truth 
And does not lie 
I want a new friend 
Because I am tired 
Of this one 
To alleviate my boredom 
So that I can have some fun
