Lonely The Lonely

Lonely The Lonely

By god I skid
Like a kid in a handcrafted
Boxcar
I'm a smile away from home
That is with me
Because no other
May understand
But maybe someday
In some way
I'll learn to accept what
I deny as true love and care
People will toy with your heart
As if its a game and never play fair
And so I rarely trust
Neither man nor woman
Hardly even myself
But I'll rise before I plummet
Into a sea of loneliness and despair
Trickled with riddles and monsters galore
I promise I wont be the same as before
Just give me a chance to prove that

But....

I cant help but think that
Loneliness itself is lonely
Because it is surrounded
By others with their heads to the ground....
