Long Be This Day

Welcoming in
This calm before the storm of war,
Where turbulent seas still...
EnoughÂ
To bask in necessity sun
And endure what little peace
In the short spurts that it comes.
I may be alone,
Entertained
By friend or lover,
But at least hours can last
More than a moment;
Regret lay at bay, past
Weight relieved
Hovers over shoulders.
By wine
Ale
And Good natured hearty laughter,
A toast....
Long be this day.

Hey Devon I think we all our striving to have a pain free  existence of hurt and tears . Maybe liquor is the answer lol . I think with open communication and not a shut down of talking to someone you love is the key plus a good beer to boot .cheers rock
