Long time

I’ve really tried for such a long time. To forget about you when you were mine. Like a snow in a forest that covers the trees. Letting you go was never a breeze. Time has moved on yet I think you’re still there. It’s been a long time since I wanted to care. But what is lost will never come back. The stress on my mind feels like a heart attack. It’s never been easy to look at the truth. Like believing in magic when losing a tooth. Thinking a fairy is bringing you gold. Then boom in a flash you’ve lost your own hold. You thought you could handle what you had to hear. But you really had wished it never entered your ear. Why was it hard because you are alone. Just hoping and thinking she would pick up the phone.

Casual analogies and rhyme that doesn't feel forced really makes calming and extremely engaging poetry. Really enjoyed this one Jeff, perhaps some versing may break up the read a bit?Â
I especially like the one side of the coin conversation style you use, I have seen other poets (including me lol) us it in the past and it's a great way to convey a message without giving away personal information to random guys on the internet.... like me.... anyway again I found this one fantastic and super creative. Smiles always and peace too. The Fish of the SeaÂ
